A rich city girl named Allie (Rachel McAdams), and a poor country boy named Noah (Ryan Gosling) fell deeply in love with each other in such a short time. Noah shared his world with Allie, and Allie shared her world with Noah. They were inseparable, and their young souls were pure as one.

The disruption to the teens young love was Allie’s parents. They had her future all planned out, and Noah wasn’t the perfect fit for their daughter (in their eyes).  So the family packs up, without giving the two love birds a chance to say goodbye 😫. Allie attempted to let Noah know she was leaving, and just how much she loves him, but he was not at the mill where he worked when she hurried over. Fin was the next best thing, which is Noah’s best friend. She needed Fin to make sure he relayed that message for her as soon as he could(that she was leaving the summer house). When Noah got the message, he raced to Allie, and she was really gone 😔.

Noah was determined to get his soul mate back! Everyday for a whole year Noah wrote Allie letters with no response. He never gave up. He went and fought the war, lost his best friend during the war, and completed a special task that his long lost love Allie had dreamed of years ago.

Now on the other hand Allie was about to marry a guy she met while she was a nurse tending to the wounded soldiers. Almost days before her wedding day she sees Noah on the front page of a local newspaper standing in front of the home of her dreams. The home she dreamt of having with Noah. She fainted.

Not believing her eyes, she asks permission from her soon to be husband to take a little trip, and of course he agreed. Allie packs up a few a things, and heads to Seabrook. Allie finds Noah right where the local paper pictured him, and they had so much to say to one other that it just rekindled what was lost all those years. In those days of falling in love all over again, Allie’s mom appears with all the letters that Noah wrote her so long ago along with the truth of her deception, and the news that her fiancee was headed their way!

After knowing her mother lied all these years and Noah really did think of her, and wanted so badly to have her back, she broke it off with her fiancee and returned back to where her heart desired, Noah! (You guys it was the saddest sweetest thing ever!) That dream house became their home, they had children, their children had children. And they died happily in each other’s arms.
